The Fremont Fire Department confirmed it was battling a blaze at the factory site, and said it appeared the fire started in pile of cardboard, and spread to threaten a structure and start a small grass fire.

The fire started at about 5:20 p.m. on a cardboard pile close to the test track, which spread to an outside structure and sparked a grass fire, according to the Fremont Fire Department.

The fire was contained to a cardboard bailing machine and there were no injuries, according to Tesla.

Thursday night’s incident is the latest in a series of fires at the facility.
