This is a complaint about the Tesla suspensions. A Twitter user whose name can be found on the screenshot which is attached to this complaint) has posted photographs of his broken suspension. He was unhappy about the fact that the suspension fell apart in his driveway. The photograph shows the control arm snapped and this same failure can be seen to have occurred on many other Teslas. Examples can be found here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/136377865@N05/sets/72157658490111523/ After a few people responded to the owners Tweet he then deleted the Tweet and blocked everybody that had responded. It is highly unlikely that the owner will be filing a complaint. He is one of the top Tesla referrers and is close to earning rewards from Tesla. The second attached screenshot proves this. These fragile suspension parts pose a risk to owners and other road users. Steering would be badly affected by such a failure. Many Teslas have suddenly swerved off the road with fatal consequences. It is certainly possible that suspension failures are the cause of these swerves. Please take urgent action to prevent more deaths and injuries. Thank you. Concerned citizen with a sense of civic responsibility. Full name and contact details supplied.

Here is a thread in which a Tesla owner credits Tesla with saving his life. https://forums.tesla.com/forum/forums/my-tesla-saved-my-life#comment-1670291 Photos reveal that the rear left wheel is missing and the suspension completely torn off. See attached photo. Owner subsequently posted a video of the crash: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h8e5_eHkpRI&feature=youtu.be Playing that video at 0.25 speed or wathching it fram by frame on Analyzer: http://anilyzer.com/?page_id=7&type=youtube&vId=h8e5_eHkpRI#playbackRate=1&seekTo=0 You can see that the Tesla tilted to the left and then drifted to the left. The foreground lights and cars go blurry at about 0:12 into the video. The Tesla is out of control long before the passing car comes into view. An almost identical event on the Pali Highway Hawaii claimed the life of of a passing driver just a year ago. There are far too many of these cases for it to be just a fluke event. The Tesla suspensions are too weak for the weight of these heavy and powerful cars and because they are made from cast or extruded aluminum they will become even weaker with age and fatigue. Please launch an urgent investigation into this. Thank you. A very concerned citizen. Please note that I am not the owner and have used a dummy USA address to conform with your website requirements. I have been advised by a NHTSA investigator that it is permissible for a non-owner and non US resident to file a complaint. My full contact details are included with this submission.

Enhanced images of Tesla and the VW Jetta that is alleged to have hit the Tesla.

Note that the Jetta is undamaged and braking hard.
The Tesla has lost the entire rear suspension and there is not a trace of orange paint from the Jetta transferred onto it.
